ThedirectorEvaldSchorm(1929-1988)wasoneofthemostoriginalmembersoftheCzech"NewWave".Duringthe"normalization"era,Schormspentmanyyearsunabletodirect.Hislastfilm,KillingwithKindness(1988)wasonlymadeinthetwilightyearsofCommunism.Duringthatperiodwhenhewasunabletodirectfilms,hebecameanoutstandingstagedirector.Hedirectedgroundbreakingproductionsatthe"Nazábradlí"TheaterandLaternaMagika.
